Rear end Ratio Change

Has anyone ever changed the stock 6.67 rear end to something lower?
I haven't but I know you can change them as long as you do the front too.
The gear set is call H110 or somthing like that. Same thing other GM trucks in the same size use in that erra. Also the M211 etc GMC's used 6.17's.
If I were you I'd just install a 5 speed out of a CCKW - see my pics in the other thread......
