Where I live there are no CCKW's or parts available so I understand your frustration. I have had to pay a fortune in shipping costs to get materials and make some pretty long trips to pick up things. Do your best buddy to save the old truck. The pride you gain in rescuing an old warrior is worth the hard work .
Re-powering a CCKW?

In a earlier post I mentioned a guy swapping a 427 talldeck engine
Well I found the post
He is on the G503 2 1/2 ton forum and his user name is SHONKIE you might try sending him a PM for more details.
It may be another power option for you.
Hope this helps
John
Will see what he had involved with the 427 swap.

Hey Tim
Is that 1 1/2 ton Chevy in Wash.
still avail ?
That would give you the cargo body you need as well as a 235 that would work as well for the time being.
Hope this helps
