Veteran story from the "Red Ball Highway"

Stories about fighting in all theaters of WWII. I ask that these be stories directly from veterans and not previously published material.

Veteran story from the "Red Ball Highway"

Post by mick.wilson »

Last year I got an email from a gentlemen called” Walter N. Pruiksma” living in the U.S, he told me how he had come across our web site looking for items on the Red Ball Express.

It turned out that Walter N. Pruiksma, known as “Rookie” had some great stories from his time working on the “Red Ball Highway” as an M.P with Co.D 783rd M.P Bn., he allowed us to dedicate a page on our web site, we are proud to be able to let more people see what a great job all the guys did behind the front lines.

I hope he get's the chance to share all his stories ! while they may be of little things and may be from long ago ,each adds to the understanding of the WWII period .
