Troop Rack Hardware
M-Series Hardware is not interchangeable with Original WWII Hardware, but if you want to rebuild the racks from scratch you can do it with M-series. The parts will not interchange nor will the bolt holes match up. I have noticed restorations on this site, that have used M-Series hardware, it will look nice --- but....

Don't forget to Countersink the Carriage Bolt Heads on the inside of the Troop Racks and surface of the Lazy Backs. This can be done by use of a 5/8" "Speed Bit" before you drill the holes. Works best if you have a drill press. I have got to go back and correct about 6 boards as I did not think of it when I had the lumber milled about 20 years ago.
