The GMC CCKW

Hello!

I've silly question, I already checked all my manuals, searched this forum and the web and found no reliable answer:

Is it right, that all factory new closed cab cckw had a single seat bench, while all open cab cckw had two indentical seats, one for the drive and one for the co-driver/front-seat passenger?

So if nowadays a closed cab cckw has two seats, this is a post WW2 modification?

What you say is quite correct to the best of my knowledge. The CCKW hard cab only ever left the factory with single bench seats, the open cab with two half width fold down seats.
