CCKW front inner hub seals same as DUKW???

Hi Guys, Can someone tell me if the front inner hub oil seals are the same DIMENSIONS and can be used on either the CCKW or DUKW??? I know the part numbers are different, and that the CCKW used leather seals, whereas the DUKW used rubber/neoprene oil seals. The DUKW seal fits well into the CCKW hub, but it won't go over the spindle knuckle shoulder, and seems too be too tight. Any help appreciated. Thanks mate!
