I am looking at a 1945 cckw. It has five data plates but I do not see the serial number data plate.
Questions - Did all trucks have a serial data plate? If so, would the serial plate always be on the dash or possibly some other location? If on the dash, was there a certain location with respect to other plates?
Thanks for your assistance.

Re: data plates
The sn plate should be on the firewall under the dash in the center on the bump that goes aroun the back of the engine.
It is also on the passengers side frame rail by the rear mount for the front axle spring. You may need to scrape the paint off.
