post war rebuilds

Post by Colin Britton »

Well I know my CCKW stayed on the other side of the pond after the war. And was rebuilt Roots of London LTD. in April of 1955 before being released by the U.S. Army to Norway under the Mutual Defence Assistance program....
But the CCKW's that were rebuilt in the U.S. were more than likely trucks that were used Stateside during the war or were trucks completed after the war was over. All were used by stateside Army units till being replaced by the newer REO then rebuilt for sale to Nato forces.
ATW,
Doc Britton.
