Hello there,
I am new here to this forum and have a question concerning my GMC CCKW 353 B2. Maybe you can help me. The former owner in France gave me license papers that show the truck as produced in 01/01/1944 with Serial Number 538120. According to the dataplate this seems to be wrong.
If this dataplate is original and no reproduction, the SN:538120 tells me, the truck was produced by the end of April 1945. Unfortunately I was not able to locate the number printed at the chassis.
Do you think this dataplate is original and can be considered authentic?
Regards,
Chris
Are the dataplates original?

Well done Chris, build dates and delivery dates can differ considerably due to the body type fitted. Many trucks have been converted from the original body type when going through a rebuild.
