CCKW Open Cab.

Post by robc »

Just obtained a open cab for my Shopvan, cab is in excellent condition, still has all original bolts etc., I have noticed under the bulkhead/cowl, where vent flap is fitted and the glove box, are both painted in gloss black, now this looks original, anyone out there come across this before ?, its a late cab, has the rotary light switch.

Hi Rob,

Yes the black is 100% original, many small CCKW parts were finished in black, just as on many civvy trucks of the era.
