In a standard DUKW, using the starting handle supplied (has anyone EVER started a DUKW with that thing? ) and if the DUKW is in gear - it will only move it forward.
You can have it in low range, high range, six wheel, reverse, whatever, but because the starting gear is hooked to the marine drive you can only inch the DUKW forward, not back.
So what happens if you stick it in reverse and then wind it with the handle ? - it cranks the engine backwards, that's all.
Anyone else have any little known DUKW facts?
