Because of the Vacuum Booster cylinder and its mechanism being in the way on the left hand side, thw SWB exhaust pipi crossed over between the transmission and transfer to the RH side and exited via the Tailpipe which was attached to the rear of the RF Splash Shield. Bob Rubino (Mil Spec) is restoring an early Banjo SWB with this system. I supplied the NOS Tailpipe.

There are no known illustrations of the early SWB exhaust in any of the manuals. Banjo and Split used a different part number tail pipe, but they both exited on the right.
