HOOD REAR SIDE PANEL SCREWS

Post by joel gopan »

For those of you who just have to get it to perfection, those 3 screws at the front of each louvered side panel are supposed to be a Binding Head Phillips Type 14"-20 X 1/2". The Single screw in the rear of the front side panels are 1 each of the same but 5/8" in length.
Your CCKW will look Soooooooooo much better with these correct screws.
I got mine screws thru Jeep back in the 60s-70s when I was building NOS M-38A1 Jeeps from NOS Army and Jeep Factory stock.

I went out and peeked at my hibernating chariot yesterday, it sort of adds to an already nice day.

These screws sort of get misplaced and replaced with generic bolts ocer a period of time.
I never stop looking for improper bolts on my CCKW, and keep looking for bolts that have the factory installed appearance which many of the available hardware store variety do not. This year I will concentrate on the many ground straps.
