The GMC CCKW

GMC Bolster truck. 1944/45. Complete with slip pole trailer & 1 ponton boat. 982 miles only showing on speedo - engine plate is manufacturers, not a rebuild.Wooden wheel. All data plates on dash including bolster tyre pressures, also the trailer ones. Still has the rare engine mounted compressor (which is why bolster trucks had the horn mounted on the wing). Correct DUKW wheels on truck, with twin standard jimmy bar grips on trailer. Good brakes & hydravac. Working vacuum lock on pintle - unique to bolsters. Aluminium ponton boat dated Dec 1944 by Flour City Ornamental Ironworks co. New woodwork, paint & canvas summer of 09. No rust or filler. A very sound truck which drives beautifully. French papers. Just to let everyone know. I am open to offers on this truck as I do now have a DUKW but cannot start the major work until I sell the Bolster truck. Why not make an offer? Just bear in mind that the last ponton I found was sold as a work boat for 4000 euros! You get a very low mileage original GMC & bits as well.
