It is now painted and all accessories except the distributor are installed/mounted. I filled it with water to test it out. That was a good thing as the connection for the steam relief tube to the fitting on the back of the engine leaks. There was no one to help lift the radiator today, so I had to take the grill off to lighten it enough so I could safely lift it into place. It is filled with oil, and has a new oil and fuel filter. I turned the oil pump up with an electric drill with a 7/16 wood bit on the end. Oil comes up to the rockers nicely. I have to connect one rear motor mount. Because these military trucks do not have a cross member under the back of the bell housing like the civy trucks, you find that you usually have to pull the frame rail together a bit to get the 2nd bolt in. This time I have to jack them apart a little. Every CCKW or mil Chevy I have changed has needed this to be done.
