I would never let my truck being pushed to the side. To much damage would occur. Probably the bed would be displaced on its support damaging the wood bars or its bolts underneath. :? I hope they drained the air filter before. :D

NO TRUCKS WERE HARMED IN THE MAKING OF THIS SCENARIO.

Well I guess there are ways and ways. The truck on its side was very carefully placed, with due consideration to water, fuel, oil and battery, and general safety.

At the end of the show the overturned truck was again very carefully righted, fuelled & watered ..........................and driven home.

These are after all "Old Ladies" and as such are are treated with due respect.

Chris M, I'm pleased you are no longer concerned. One of the huge advantages of the War & Peace show held annually here in the U.K. is the vast variety of equipment available on site. With a choice of Diamond T, Ward La France, Kenworth and some even bigger modern stuff, setting up such a scenario is not really a problem. We really are spoilt for choice.

You were of course quite right to have been concerned. These old ladies are special and so do need special attention.

If we ask our site host nicely he may even have other photos of this "living history" display.
