You used to be able to pick up fuel tankers cheap as chips years ago (nobody wanted then), not seen one for sale for a long time.

Now that Dr. Deuce has hi-jacked this thread :evil: I am going to bring it back on target.

Finally got a chance to research the original markings

Looks like 9 Star 434 TCG

Which I believe stands for 9th USAAF 434 Troop Carrier Group. A C-47 group originally stationed in the UK and moved into France during the eastward progress. Participated in all 3 Air Assaults in the ETO.

looks great. don,t get to see many fueling trucks and trailes. i might put a fuel tank on my t17 soft cab halftrack. they used a few during ww2 , to fueling B29. vj
4 halftrack,s, m426 5 ton semi. cckw 352 mb gpw jeep, m38a1 ww2 pu-32/c gen.
