That is a great picture, it strange how much more that picture talks to you by having a re-enactor in it.

It is about the size of a Duffle Bag, but not the type US Army Issued in WWII.

Looks like an equipment bag of some sort. Maybe airborne , the buckles on the straps appear to be of the WWII type.

That's neat stuff. Old canvas bags and items like that can be a lot of fun and of course be a great source of conversation.

This soldier is wearing:

- M1 steel helmet & liner
- M-1941 field jacket over probably the mustard wool shirt.
- M-1937 field pants, wool (aka mustard)
- Gloves wool with leather palm
- M-1917 ou M-1923 ammunition belt (contains 10 clips for M1 Garand)
- Bandoleer for extra ammo.
- M-1910 or M-1942 canteen with M-1910 cover
- M6 musette bag for the M3 lightweight serice gas mask
- M1 Garand rifle with leather sling

Jack, sorry me old mate, both Karoshi and AAA got this one wrong. Its a 43 and mustards, not pinks.

Not correct attire at all.

Yes, it may be a M-1943 field jacket. Difficult to say as we don't we the front side. M-1941 is usually more kahki, but I've seen some green too.
