hello everyone, my name is Jeff I live in Eugene OR , i've loved these old trucks for ever ,never thought I'd get one but it happened , the most beautiful rig I've ever had #383625-1 open cab w/arctic cab double reinforced frame w/ winch , two way garwood pto , and no bed , runs and drives ,I plan to restore it ,beds are hard to find , I have a auto shop and also work with wood , does anyone have specs for wood bed or hardware , I think a wood bed would be just fine but a steel bed would be best, I'm also joining MVPA , any help would be great ,thanks

Hello and Welcome.

With regards to wood beds, there is a post on this site called "Frame Length" that should help provide insight into wood bed construction. viewtopic.php?f=1&t=3686.

In addition to a totally awesome mechanical and physical restoration, the owner built his own wooden bed from scratch. Itt was absolutely beautiful when it was complete. You may want to contact him for details.

BTW, do you have any pics of your new/old truck ?

Best Regards...

To add pictures:

Hit the reply button to this post.

Below the box where you type in text you will see the tab "upload attachment"

Hit the browse button and search for the name of your image on your had drive. Highlight the file name and click "add the file".

Add any text to the text box and hit preview. See it that is what you want to post. If so hit submit.

Pics with be added in a drop down under the text.

I used the upload attachment tab to add a pic of the upload attachment tab below.

If the pic file size is too big it will not load.

Bill
