Proud Owner MINNESOTA

Post by slandy »

Hello Gentlemen,
My name is Steve, south of St. Paul, MN. I am a new member.
I am a new proud owner of a CCKW I just found the serial number I am anxious to look it up on the website. This website is just awesome! The truck I own has an interesting history. It was left in Germany after the war and supposedly the German's put one of their radio communications boxes on it. All the nomenclature plates, now, are in German and brought back to the states and then I received it after a couple of other owners. It is in beautiful shape, it runs, good rubber, just needs a carb kit.
Thinking about joining the Red Bull Military Vehicle Collector's club up here to hang around some like-minded individuals.
A little history about myself: joined the Marine Corps at 18, in 1975 after Vietnam, and got out in 1983. I serve out at Fort Snelling National Cemetary Rifle Squad on my Fridays. I am married to my highschool sweetheart, I have 4 kids and 2 grandchildren. Gosh- I am getting old- but not as old as my truck.
I am looking forward to reading all of the postings that this super website has and I appreciate the information that you gentlemen are willing to share ,And the love you have for these trucks CCKW's Thank yOU
