Hello from Kentucky

Although not a CCKW owner, I am currently working on 'THE PATTON CCKW' Restoration / Preservation Project here at the Patton Museum, Ft Knox Ky.
This is my first experience with any type of CCKW and I'm trying to learn all about 'our' historic vehicle as we return it to its original 1944/45 configuration & appearence.
The unique feature to this vehicle is that it has never been mechanically altered and pretty much is as it was at the close of WWII. Besides some postwar repainting and years of dust accumulation, the Patton CCKW is pretty much 'original'.
The ground up 'cosmetic' (non-operational) restoration/preservation project was 'officially' begun in late Oct and we hope to have 'her' complete in about a year or so.
