Hi all

Just got my hands on a CCKW 353 after months of trying, Found it in a field at the local clay pigeon club "Double the fun", My name is Mark and have been a member of Invicta military preservation society for a while and a member of local Canterbury group 'Milikent', Much beer drinking and some renovation work in between, Currently based near Northampton ive just housed the lucky lady in a local aerodrome hanger ready for stripping, Gulp, never done one of these before! I rather fancy the requests for help advise and vallium will be regularly posted on this site. I may even work out how to post photos.............Maybey?, my son is 16 he will know!

Speak to you soon

Mark

Ken, Barry hi guys thanks for the welcome, Ken shes a cargo back, Guy i brought her from i fancy was a little on the shady side, Didnt know what a banjo axle was? gave me a load of blerb and although im quite new to GMCS that wasnt a toughie!, got a very good friend that works for R&R services who is quite an authority and said i had bought well because she has a M32 gun ring and winch and very little rust, even the bottom of the doors are good, Tyres are all wrong but she fired up after sitting in a field for 5 years with minimal foreplay, bit of fresh jankers, tickle on the plugs and a shiney new battery, want to post photos but still trying to work that bit out???? keeps telling me file is too big, will be happy to send in an email, maybey you guys know how to do it? christ im usless on computers LOL, wife recons im good at washing up LOL (flashbacks to school ..........Must try harder) anywho feels like i got a good deal by all accounts (he said hopefully!!!) 13,000 miles going to try to find out the history? any help would be appreciated

Hi Mark
Thanks for the photo. Us old guys need photos so we don't have to tax ourselves reading. You have a real nice project to start, with the winch and the gun mount.
Cheers,
Barry

Welcome aboard. You got yourself a real prize winner.

You should see some of the clapped out wrecks we have dragged home over here!

We always enjoy our visits with MV friends when we travel to the UK. You lads do a great job sharing your beer and military vehicles. We love it.

Cheers

Cat Man

Hey Mark

I'm new to this forum myself, and also to owning a MV as well. I live not far away from you just the other side of Northampton.

Best of luck with the renovation.

Kind regards
