Waving "Hi" from California

Post by S p r u e o n e »

Hello, new here.
I just found this forum community after looking for information on the Bay City Shovels, Cranemobile. It was used by the US Navy Seabees, and is on display at one of their bases.
I build plastic scale models and my primary interest is military armor and vehicles. My current project is scratch building this vehicle in 1/24 scale.
After browsing this site I decided to stick around and register.

Talk to you all later,

you may start with making models but one day you will discover that working with a bit larger scale is much easier say going from 1/24 to 1/1.
its all just a matter of scale :D .Welcome and enjoy the Group , I d like to see those photo's too !

Hahaha, Thanks guys!

These are a couple models of mine. The first three thumbnail shots are a Dodge? in 1/35 scale. I built this one years ago and has collected dust and lint since then. Also a few brocken and lost parts during moves.

And the other one is a scratch build in progress (WIP) Cranemobile in 1/24 scale. The B/W photo is the real thing I'm trying to complete.

Thanks for looking :)

Nice work , I m sure you have put many hours into each one. Good luck on the cranemobile looks like a difficult item to copy.
