Hello from Norway

Post by CQ Bookstore »

Hey all.
I found this board on this excellent site through search.
I have a CCKW 353, and even though I have been reading about military history and vehicles all my life, I know not much about engines and technical stuff, but I want to learn.

My GMC is in registered running condition, but it need some serious facelifting, which I will begin with this spring. Planning to get it to as close as US WWII look as I can.

Looking foreward to some good conversations.

CQ,

Welcome to the site. Quite a few of us here in the States have CCKW's that came back home after being in service in Norway after the war. My CCKW being one of them.
We have a good group here and alot of information to answer your questions. THe GMC is user friendly and easy to work on, all you need is the TM and a few wrenches and you can take apart anything. Enjoy your new toy.
ATW,
Doc Britton.

Looks like there are alot of ex-Norwegian army CCKW's running around. Mine was phased out in 1994.

Its running and all the technical is in good shape, but its not looking good, so I have just started restoring it. Will post some pictures soon. :)
