There is a pretty good looking DUKW on ebay 230017386335. Owner claims it runs and swims. In New Jersey.

ebay duck
$8100.00 bid and the reserve not met For a dukw that looked to me as it needed alot of work, with alot of missing and expensive and very hard to find parts. Am I out of touch here and that is what these trucks are going for in that condition. Any dukw people out there that can set me straight If thats the case instead of DUKW I will stick to CCKW to rich for my blood

I can recall a time, some 20 years ago that the collectorz market really did not want the DUKW's and now they seem to be in demand. I am not sure why, but then there are no more than what is left and that probably makes them pretty scarce.

There are quite a few... well more than realized, good CCKW and DUKWs in Europe.
By the time you restore a rust bucket... you could have bought the restored/workign original from overseas.
Saving every CCKW/DUKW is our goal.... but not every hulk can be saved

There are several of them in Hot Springs Arkansas being operated by a tour company taking people on lake tours. One sank several years ago and several people drowned. If I recall they had the lifejackets stored where they could not get to them when the truck began to sink. No one was wearing a life jacket.
