Studebaker US6 Vacuum Power Cylinder need some help

Trucks used by the U.S. Army in world War II that were 2.5 tons and larger. Such as Studebaker US-6, International M5-6, 4 Ton tractors (Auto Car, etc.), 5 Ton (Corbitt, etc.), the Dragon Wagon, and any other trucks 2.5 tons and over.

Studebaker US6 Vacuum Power Cylinder need some help

Now here is my next challenge the Vacuum power cylinder

This pic shows the rusting I have inside the Vacuum power cylinder It is pitted pretty bad but I am slowly working it out with sanding and buffing.

Here is the cylinder that sticks out of the unit. Its supposed to have a rubber boot on it but its long gone. Now this is pitted and I am looking at possibly polishing it and then chroming it to make up the difference.

Im also posting some pics of the size of it just in case someone has one of these out there NOS or in better shape.

Ross Prince in Australia has them NOS in the box. Also just the repair kit. Here is his email.... (removed) Just saw one listed for sale on epay australia....check it out. Good luck.
