Does anyone have a line drawing they can email me of the GMC logo that was on the front Grill of a CCKW.?

I have a very early grill, 40-41 with the GMC logo plate I will make you a line drawing of it and email it to you tomorrow.

Very early Grills used Flat Head Screws and are countersunk at those locations.

I have a rough sketch of the logo and am taking it to the art department at R.G.Cole H.S. and have them make a professional rendering of it for you in actual size. Give me a couple of days.

There is a life size photo of it on Page 6 of the Boniface-Jeudy book "The GMC 6X6 and DUKW a Universal Truck". I believe I have the means to get them stamped out if no Copyright is involved. Tis a better fad than U know what. I took the one from my 41 Grill and put it on a later asymetrical CCKW grill. (you know, the one with the extended guard) I put NOS fenders on my SWB, the LH fender had the hole for the B.O.D. Light, and I chose not to fill it.

There were some from Europe 20 years ago, the metallurgy was strange, as there were complaints of being difficult to tack weld onto the grill.

Would anyone still have either this drawing, or a good straight on photo of the GMC grill logo?

I was thinking about trying to make one for my truck using a 3D printer.

Not sure if this would really be practical, or what all is required, but it seems like it might be worth a try...
