Spotted while making Sales Calls today

Post by Bill_Wolf »

Spotted this next to the Road in a town park...Obviously the PC Police have not found their way to this New Hampshire town.

And a short while later I looked over and in a impeccably manicured yard sat this WWII 1945 Cat D7 ex-military. Met the owner. Great guy. Even got invited back in 2 weeks after it gets painted OD. :D

The Cat Man Likes It!!!!

She looks really straight and clean.

We think Bill should have a D7 and I'll come out to NH and demonstrate the proper operation and maintanence for him. :D

Hey Cat Man, you could use it to flatten Bill's yard and make room for more HMVs

Good lookin' cat! Not to steal the thread, but does anyone know if there were any 977 cat loaders in the military inventory? I have an old (late 50's) 977 crawler loader that came from the estate of an HMV collector. It's sorta blue-green but underneath is cat yellow. After I picked it up, I found out the old boy that owned it painted everything od green that soon faded to the current blue-green. Even though it's obviously a civilian cat, I was thinking of painting it od with some stars just for the heck of it, or am I a little too far out in left field?

With something that "obscure" you could always "spin a yarn" about .....about it's past
I picked up a 1 1/2 ton Chevy converted to a SHORT wheelbase plow truck once...and the owner insisted that it was a rare "artillary prime mover " and the snow plow  was use to clear gun emplacements :? I suppose all the amber warning lites were for aircraft recognition as well

Cheers
