Even though I wouldn't mind having a couple of those NOS hydrovacs I would really like a couple of those boxes for display.

Hi Barry,

There was a gent next to us at Aberdeen who was selling a box slightly smaller that that with the same "lend lease" label on it for $5. I bought 8 of them for static display in my LHD.

They were address to a US Army depot in Italy and early '50's dated. The held gas mask canisters. While they are not WWII the did have the same label. This label is on most of the crates displayed on the trucks at the Marshal Museum in Overloon, NL.

If he has more this year I will buy them.

How about someone scans the label.... :) and posts it?

I thought of that but the box won't fit flat on the scanner.

Plan B

Take some pix and maybe some dimensions and maybe someone who took a Photoshop course :D could make a close reproduction, or overlay a transparent grid

Speaking of nice boxes, a while back I was at our ASP at Bragg and picked up a bunch of 1945 dated 20 Lb. wooden Shape Charge boxes.
Nice boxes with the hemp rope handles and all the stencils and ordnance markings clear and easy to read.
They look great stacked in the ben hur trailer with the bangalore torpedo boxes.
I'm hoping there will be more when I get back.
