Saving Private Ryan

My Advance Placement History classes are watching the subject movie and I noticed some pretty good shots of CCKW's in the background. Of course Band of Brothers does a much better job of showing CCKW's. especially in the scenes transporting the "troopers" to Bastogne. No painted up M135's , M211's or M35's in these movies.

Are you using the 60 Anniversary edition of Private Ryan? It has about 20 minutes of previously unreleased film added to the "First Wave" scene.

The additional input makes it even more realistic but unfortunately more grusome It is what the movie should have been when it was released. But of course the Hollywood types....well you know....

No, I am using the released version . I was not aware of the 60th Anniversery version but will try to find one for future classroom use. Thanks for the heads up on it.
