MVPA Transcontinental Convoy is rolling

Post by Cat Man »

As many of you know, the MVPA transcontinental convoy left Washington DC this weekend bound for San Francisco.

We have been posting photos at several locations.

You can follow the convoy progress via the MVPA web site www.MVPA.org and check the daily convoy blog. Click the '2009 Convoy' button on the lower left.

Our own Michial and Gordon Conn will be driving their CCKW for a portion of the trip in Ohio and Indiana. Way to go guys!

Photos are posted at www.flickr.com/photos/39112187@N02/

Other neat info on the Military web site http://www.army.mil/convoy/

We are leaving to meet the Convoy in South Bend Indiana tomorrow.

The Cat Man fat fingered the last message.

Michael Conn's first name is mis spelled. Hey, I was in shop class and never took typing?

Sorry Michael!

That's alright, Thanks Jeff! It was a great 130+ mile drive from Wooster to Delphos, Ohio for dad and I in our CCKW! (we didn't even complain about the rain in the morning) It was the first time the truck's been off the farm, but it rode nicely! There was a great showing of vehicles in Ohio ranging from a White half-track, a International M-series truck from France, M35s, Dodge WCs, and too many Jeep MBs to count. From what we heard we believe we were the first CCKWs to join up... Let's keep'em going, join up if you can!
I've posted some photos on the G503 http://www.g503.com/forums/viewtopic.ph ... 53#p831753 check them out and join the convoy, let's see some more CCKWs!
