The Jeep belongs to our 514th Major (Fred Day), he died the Friday before the W&P show and the photo was in memory of him.

More photos coming soon, watch the site www.514th.co.uk

Thank you for the update . Your internet site for the 514th is very well done !, I have only scratched the surface with a half hour peek and will visit it often to try and see as much of it as I can.

We made it back OK. Thanks to all the 514th and the girls of the clubmobile. Special thanks to Mick & Colin.
Wish we could've had more time to talk, but one week is not enough! The mud and rain made the trip better than I hoped for.
Sorry to see the trailer upended. Haven't unpacked yet or downloaded the photos or video, but I'll send them when they're done.
If anyone from the U.S. can make it to War & Peace, try -- You'll love it!

Thanks again for making us feel at home 'over there'.

Later,

As Mick said it was a real pleasure to have you guys along.

But I really cant see how 40 Gigs of stills, and the 20 hours of vids that you took, can even start to capture the feel of W & P............. lol.

Don and Chris it was real nice of you guys to grace our little display, and add a touch of "Yank" to the place. Heres to next year, ....and then Normandy in 2009.

Chris and Don, It was good to see you guys here, we hope you enjoyed the show. 2009 and that French trip is not too far off, lets hope you can make it.

Early days yet but the 514th is planning to "Hit the Beaches" for the 65th aniversary, and we may just have some spare places for you GI's that wanna ride Infantry style
