Memorial Day - Why we drive

Post by Cat Man »

Yesterday I had a chance to participate in Memorial Day services with the local Veterans of Foreign Wars post here.

The vets prefer riding our HMV's to riding in the bus chartered for the day. The rifle salute is no longer parade ground perfect and we helped the firing party reload M-1's when old hands can't do it like years ago.

At the last stop we helped the mayor present on behalf of a grateful nation a special medal and ribbon to a group of Wisconsin WWII Pacific Vets for their combat service on Siapan in June 1944. Long overdue.

I thing these photos tell the story - why we find, fix and drive HMV's.

We don't forget.

Jim,

I have the pictures you sent but I am at work and away from my home computer untilt he weekend where they need to be processed.

If you look at the FAQ's at the top of the page it will indicate that you have to find a host to put these up. There are lots of free hosting services available.

I will try to get to this by the end of the weekend.
