Iwo Jima

Post by armydriver »

On Feb. 19th the National War in the Pacific Museum, also known as the Nimitz museum in Fredericksburg, Texas will hold a parade and are looking for all the WWII vehicles they can get. I am taking my CCKW up, even though it will be in 101st AB markings. Most won't notice. They are also doing a re-inactment of taking of Mount Surabachi on a ranch located outside of town that will include 600 Marine re-inacters, 150 Japanese re-inactors from Japan, 12 flame throwers and tanks. It should be great.

Army Driver...our reporter on the scene :D ... has provided us a few pictures of this event. While there were no CCKW's there :( there are some great shots of a flame thrower in action and tank action.

Many thanks to AD....

Enjoy
