Mine is still red and unrestored. You can see it in the pictures on this site under picture of the week. It is the red one with all the junk in the back.

So I don't know what color it is under

At this time, I am not sure what is going to happen to that truck.

Next year, I think I will take the bed off and bring it to my active barn site for another truck temporarily.

I just acquired a 353 cargo dump with a winch and arctic cab in Washington state. Had been left in the woods in 1977. It had one door and I found the missing side at Rod Shaver's parts in AZ. interestingly, the windshield is different and while it does swing out at the bottom, it does not fold flat as the side braces are solid.( in fact I'm currently looking for a fold down windshield assembly as I'm going to remove the arctic cab for parades etc.

I have 4 CCKW's with arctic cabs on them and only one without. I do live in Alaska though were the soft tops a very rare. These arctic cabs came after WWII and are military installed kits. These also include the fuel burning heater mounted on the right fender. Some of the M37 dodges were fitted with a converted CCKW arctic hard top. They do look nice with the oval rear window

I live in Oregon so I decided to take it off and install a gun ring for parades instead , Including a fold down windshield that I was lucky to have found. It will be nice to put the top back on in the winter but the fold down windshield doesn't exactly fit the top like the stationary windshield so it may not work. I haven't gotten the engine running yet anyway. A bunch of stuck valves an lifters.
