hi all, im bill just bought a 353 bolster truck & trailer, new to this yankee gear! normally have Bedfords etc, but really looking forward to restoring her shes in great solid shape and runs sweet, no brakes etc.

will upload some pictures soon.

I take it that you are in the UK somewhere.
Bolster trucks are an interesting variation and from what I know of them the French seem to have collared most of them after the war. At least I remember numbers of them being dispose of in the south of France some years ago. Most of those were broken up I believe.
You will find the Yankee gear easier to work on than your pomgolian equipment. The Brits seemed to have had the idea 'why use one bolt when four will do?'
Don't mind me having a go at the poms, I'm married to one so we's family.
