1942 CCKW Seat

Post by MichaelBeck »

Hi Guys

This is in reference to a 1942 closed cab, SWB truck.

What material/pattern should the cabin seat be covered in - it currently has a leather squab and back with stiching similar to the below link - I cant think of the term for it!

Thanks
Mike

It is my experience that Closed Cab Chevy's and GMC's of 1942 manufacture had the seats covered with the normal duck style military fabric. Some Fire Apparatus were covered with a no pattern leatherette type of upholstery but I believe that that was an update by the fire body manufacturer/installer.
