ring mount

Post by Mikael S »

Hi

I have bought a M36 ring.
But I dont have the bars to hold it.
I have found a good Internet page, so i know how it should look like. But do someone know the dimensions of the bars? Length, diameter? Looking also after dimensions on the attachment on the topp of the bars.

Internet page:

Hello Micke,

Congratulations on purchasing the gun mount. When you say "bars" do you mean the three legs or pipes that hold the ring up? We should be able to measure those for you.

Just a note, the photo's on the site are my truck and there is a mistake. The gun ring in the photos is on up side down. It can be installed two ways. The gun mount trolly works OK but it is not correct. Don In California sent me a better manual that shows the correct installation. Notice the brackets in the ring are offset from the center. The correct mounting has the brackets on the lower side and the wider side of the ring to the top.

Do you need the measurements for the legs to support the Ring?

We have the same problem (bought some rings but no legs), do you have the dimensions of the legs, are all three legs the same?

Good News! The snow has melted enough here that I can get the shed door open to see the CCKW with the ring mount.

I will get some dimensions for the legs in the next day or two. And will post them.

Sorry for the delay.

Here are the dimensions from the mount I have. Mine is an original WWII unit that came as a set many years ago. Note that all three legs are unique. Each is a different shape. The front leg also has a pronounced radius.

I have a template for the adapter plate but it is too big to scan and print. I can copy and surface mail if you like.

Good Luck
