Reflectors Part 3

Post by R Cubed »

Hi all, having read all about the reflectors, and which ones would be fitted to CCKW's on earlier posts, I thought I would look at the ones on my truck, well it's amazing but there are 2 amber ones on the front corners of the fuel tank ( it's a 352 ) and 1 on each rear side of the bed, all are amber and oval, none on the tail gate, but it does have the holes there.
Once removed and cleaned up a bit they appear to be Guide A-2 made in USA on the frames, the lenses are made by Stimsonite but cant decide which type they are 12 or 12A ?

Also the previous posts refer the the amber lenses but what about the reds which should be on the rear sides and tail gate ? would they be the same style of lens 12 or 12A but just red instead of amber, would they be in the A-2 oval frames as well ?

This picture shows the rear of the reflector and it can be seen that the number is the same as mentioned before but at the end it has a B rather than an A does this mean anything ?

Is there anyone out there who has any idea what age these reflectors are and weather they are suitable to be fitted to the front fuel tank frame on a 352 ?
