Chevy g506 transfer case, same as g749 m211?

Post by dan6wd »

Hello all, it has just come to my attention, that the transfer case for the chevy 1 1/2 ton g506 is the same as the g749 m135/m211 transfer case. Can someone confirm the validility of this?

I thought thr chevy t-case was a two speed. The M135/M211 is a single speed case. The hydramatic trans had the low range for these trucks. Someone straighten me out if I'm wrrong on the chevy.

Lacoda is correct.
Dan , I believe the Chevy transfer and M211 transfer share a few parts seals etc. ( as well as the CCKW transfer) But I would not consider them "interchangable"

Hope this helps
