Newbie question about open cabs

Post by SpookyDad »

Pardon my ignorance but does the windshield on an open cab CCKW fold down flat?

The truck driver needs to know the overall height and if the winshield folds flat, it will make the trip cheaper.

If it doesn't, how hard is it to remove the windshield.

Windsheild

Post by Colin Britton »

Spooky,

Yes the windsheilds fold down flat on the open cab CCKW. One big hand screw on each side of the windsheild. Lossen and fold down, tighten.
Too easy.....

Trust me, being former Houstonian, having the ability to get that extra breeze by laying that windshield down will be a blessing during a July parade.
