like the CCKW, the US decided not to put production figures on/in the vehicle manuals shortly after the war started. I have heard that there were between 160,000 atrucknd 190,00 Chevys produced in WW2 As a aside, I have a 1944 Chev Bomb Truck according to the serial number and a 1945 Chev telephone auger truck. My observation is that the quality went down as the war progressed.

This is an awesome post, with one huge glaring exception... I am not taking issue with any of your numbers, but a post like this cries out for a reference to the source. Please!

Thanks! I'm familiar with the SNL G506 source, and the 2,929 Cargo less winch, and Cargo w/ winch trucks listed there (2146 listed by registration number, and and another 783 mentioned a a group of trucks built using earlier material).

I'm not familiar with your other sources and the information they contain. Do you know if your figures include the Chevrolet G506 trucks built and sent to Russia under Lend Lease? I have read that might be as many as an 151,000??

Thanks again for listing your sources!
