Chevrolet G7107 serial number

Post by m38cdnbill »

Hello all,

Long time no see and my Chevy G7107 will be ready for the next summer. It remains only to buy the whole wiring harness and data plates. I have the book printed by Portrayal Press for the Chevrolet trucks and in this book, it's indicated that there were five contracts in 1942 for the Chevy G7107 (code NJ).

1st contract : W-398-QM-10328 (7 088 trucks)
2nd contract : W-398-QM-10939 (1 627 trucks)
3rd contract : W-398-QM-11510 (15 613 trucks)
4th contract : DA-W-398-QM-S (24 trucks)
5th contract : DA-W-398-QM-252 (6 654 trucks).

Question for the Chevy specialists, Chevrolet G7107 did they all made only in 1942 ? If so, these contract numbers indicated above correspond to what month of the year 1942? Meanwhile, here are some pictures of my cab recently rebuilt and painted.

Hello Kevin,

I wanted to do a perfect job on this cab and I did well. However, it took me to give more than 500 hours of work. Anyway, It was a great pleasure to learn to work sheet metal.

Cheers
