g 506 colors???

was wondering if anyone knows if i can id my truck by the color or where it might have been deployed to while working on the hood i sanded threw green then tan then red were these trucks painted red originally or some of them the original dash tags were un readable as the cab was completely rotted away thanks in advance any info would be great and is there any other place a tag or id marks could be located the only other ##s i can find are
