wiper motors-early g503

I stripped a 1941 chev cargo model and each of the windshield wiper motors had two push pull switches instead of one. Why does it have two?

Hi John,
as far as I know, the second switch is the speed control

Thanks for the reply. I guess I have the type with no speed control on my 44 chev(it has a single push-pull on-off button). Maybe it was a change that happened between 41 and 44.

Hello John,
I havent looked in the books to verify this answer, but my guess would be that the change took place around 1941 or 42.
Just a guess!
