Water pumps

Post by pop larkin »

Now that my Chevy is finally on the road, and being used more regulary I want to obtain a spare water pump, as the bearings in mine are sounding a bit rough. Is the Chevy 235 water pump the same as the GMC 270 pump? If not where might I be looking to find a water pump for the Chev. Also I may order up a spare clutch too, which I have been told is also different to the GMC one so where could I find a Chev clutch.

Thanks

The water pump for the chevy is different than the GMC. Jim Carters has them or you can check with NAPA. I picked one up there a year and a half ago. Should be part #58125.
