Use metal Valve Caps on the valve stems as they have a rubber gasket, and will be added protection to the possibility of air leaks at valve core. I have been lucky as I have been able to remove the Screwdriver Caps from NOS WWII Innertubes. This also adds to the authenticity of your WWII CCKW for those that love to pay attention to detail.

The Schraeder Caps are rare and bring up to $40.00 per box of 5 from Antique Car collectors. It is 60 years into the game and most places have been picked over. I can furnish NOS WWII Screwdriver Caps @ 2.00ea plus Postage, (my pick) for brand. They will be black in color.

My truck has eight out of the ten valve caps (I don't have any spare tires yet). Several of the caps say Schrader on them :D. All of the caps are the original style Screwdriver type.
