GMC Compressor Truck Restore, Anyone with Info
We are beginning a 1943 Open Cab GMC Compressor Truck Restoration. We have all the tools as well for this truck. We plan on getting the LeRoi fully functional. If anyone has any manuals, information, or parts that may be beneficial to use we would love to chat. Thanks

Re: GMC Compressor Truck Restore, Anyone with Info
The LeRoi is a low speed motor. Unfortunately, if you have no air pressure on startup, it goes to full (govened) throttle. I am looking at ways to prevent this. One way is to install a very small hydraulic cylinder in the govenor to carb linkage with a line to oil pressure with a restrictor in it so that until the oil pressure is up + a little bit of time (restrictor), the engine cannot go to full throttle.
