carby

Post by sixbysix »

any suggestions before I go pulling my carby apart?
My '43 open cab has recently begun 'farting' and backfiring and stopping - and will only run 'normally' if i have the choke is fully open .... I have had some gunk evident in my modern plastic fuel filter ( since replaced), fuel pump seems to work ok ... am thinking 'gunked up' main jet ...but anything else i should be thinking of before I pull the carby apart?
regards

Intake manifold leak around the ports or in the brake booster line, or the booster
