What carb should the 270 use or a modern equivalent?

Mine has a Carter YF and while it does work one person who helped me with the wiring thinks it is too small. I just want some thoughts.

In my experience the Zenith 28AV11 is most common.
I know there was also a cast iron carb used, but I don't know the details of it.

There are many sub variants of the 28AV11. When purchasing make sure you get the right one where all the cable brackets are in the correct location and move in the correct direction.
